The Charles M. Schulz – Sonoma County Airport (STS) is a non-hub, commercial airport, owned and operated by the County of Sonoma. The Airport is located approximately seven (7) miles northwest of the center of Santa Rosa, California. STS accommodates all phases of air transportation, including scheduled air service and general aviation. STS has been experiencing rapid growth in commercial air service and in is in the process of a terminal expansion order to accommodate the increasing passenger traffic. The terminal expansion is scheduled to be completed in 2021. Passenger numbers increased 17% to 397,000 in 2017 with an additional 17% increase in 2018. A peak day at STS consists of between 1,500 and 2,500 passengers moving through the terminal. Additionally, the Airport manages over 488 leases, operating agreements, hangars, tiedowns, concessions, and other landlord/tenant relationships.
