The aim of this walk is to raise money for the Trussell Trust UK, who run foodbanks in the West Midlands and nationally.
Our foodbanks are struggling to cope with the high demands placed on them from on-going UK poverty, heightened by people losing their jobs due to the global Coronavirus pandemic. The foodbanks also provide food parcels for vulnerable and high risk groups who cannot leave their homes due to COVID-19.
No one living in the UK in 2020, should go hungry. We can help.
This is a collective walk of 1,407 km, or 874 miles, which is the length of the UK from Land's End to John o' Groats (Wikipedia, 2020).
If we have 10 people, walking 5kms a day for 30 days, we can walk 1,500Km in 30 days.
If we have less than 10, we need to walk more a day! Or if more than 10, we can smash it in less than 30 days!
HOW TO GET INVOLVED:
I have created a virtual walk called #Walk4HungerUK which will track and sync our individual walks to make a collective distance.
