We're challenging each person to take 10,000 steps a day for 2 week straight.
Unlike many other charity challenges, this one is done in your own time. Just take 10,000 steps a day whenever you like, wherever you like, and log your steps online.
Sounds easy, right? Well, perhaps not. But certainly rewarding, inspiring - and enormously appreciated!

Let's face it, taking 10,000 steps a day for 2 straight weeks is one heck of a commitment! but every step will be made easier because you'll know that it's for a very worthy cause.
How it works
1. Register your interest for Put Your Foot Down".
2. Contribute $10 CASH to the United Way Campaign, by providing it directly to Lisa LaCorte or Virginia Hall.
3. Beginning November 6, you can track your daily step count on your own pedometer, or your smartphone. Enter your steps here to be eligible to win.
The goal for each participant is to take 10,000 steps every day for the 2 weeks of the United Way Campaign.
Walking isn’t the only way to reach your daily step count. You can run, cycle, swim or even dance your way to glory.
4. At the end of 2 weeks of active participation, you will be entered to win one of several prizes from the Synchrony vault.
